Though losing AFF (ASEAN Football Federation) Suzuki Cup 2010 trophy on Wednesday night (29/12), the Indonesian National team, reffered to as Timnas, won the heart of Indonesian people, including the eye of TV viewers. On average, the two final games between Indonesia and Malaysia had won 12 million TV viewers (aged above 5 years in 10 cities in Indonesia).

More than eleven million people (23.1 rating points) watched the second leg of the final game of AFF Suzuki Cup on TV. The number is smaller than the first leg of the final match on Kuala Lumpur three days before. The day when Malaysian national team beat Timnas with a 0-3 score, the live match of AFF Suzuki Cup was attracted 12.8 million viewers or achieved 26 rating points. It was also the highest viewing achieved during AFF Suzuki Cup from December 1 to 29.

The pride that arises for Indonesian Timnas has contributed to the raise of sports viewing, in particular AFF Suzuki Cup.

In addition to AFF Suzuki Cup matches that dominatesthe highest viewing, the live broadcast of World Boxing between Indonesian boxer, Chris John, with Fernando Saucedo from Argentina also surpasses the number of viewer gained by regular programs. However, the achievement of AFF Suzuki Cup is far beyond regular soap operas.
